Alok Nigam is Vice-President (Business Development) in Lanco Solar. He is an Electrical Engineer with a masters degree in finance. He is having a work experience of more than thirteen years, with nine years in consultancy as an Energy and Renewables sector expert. During his stint as a consultant, Alok has worked comprehensively on commercial/ regulatory & technical aspects of the energy industry across its value chain of generation/ transmission & distribution and across fuels including coal/ hydro/ gas/ biomass. Alok has advised utilities, private sector, regulators, institutions and multi-lateral agencies for their diverse objectives.

As a part of Lanco, Alok has been working on the wind and solar energy space. Presently, he is working as a part of the business development team based at Gurgaon contributing to development of solar farms, interacting with industry forums and Government to refine the policy landscape, among others. Prior to joining Lanco, Alok was with Ernst & Young in their Transaction Advisory team. He has also worked with Department of International Development (DfID) associated to British High Commission, credit rating agency ICRA in their business advisory team and HCL.
